Job Opening – Director of Sales

Position: Full Time
Starting wage: $80,000 – $90,000 plus Commission
Location: On-site

Garner Holt Education Through Imagination (ETI) is looking for an energetic and ambitious Director of Sales who can spearhead the Sales team into forging strong and lasting customer relationships to nourish and cultivate the business. Your typical day might include the following: 

  • Identify and develop new markets to introduce Garner Holt Education through Imagination products and services 
  • Develop and cultivate long-lasting, strong relationships with customers while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs 
  • Maintain sales pipeline management with contact/opportunity/lead lists in CRM database 
  • Understand industry-specific trends and landscapes 
  • Analyze and expand the business operations to enhance sustainable growth 
  • Monitor streams of revenue to identify areas to increase growth and profitability 
  • Design and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets 
  • Effectively communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals 
  • Conduct customer research to identify new products, which should be developed to respond to changing customer needs, and communicate the information with the team 
  • Provides support for other programming, operations, communications, and events as needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned 
  • Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s sales goals 
  • Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required 
  • Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives 
  • Define incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets 
  • Create a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement 
  • Manage the sales teams, operations, and resources to deliver profitable growth 
  • Become known as an employer of choice for top salespeople interested in joining ETI 
  • Put in place infrastructure and systems to support the success of the sales function 
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting report 
  • Compile information and data related to customer and prospect interactions Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team 
  • Work closely with the marketing at GHP team to establish successful support, and partner programs 
  • Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities 
  • Building credible and long-lasting relationships with new prospects and existing clients for recurring business. 
  • Initiating and coordinating the development of action plans to penetrate national markets effectively search national sales leads and prospects 
  • Constantly converse with high net worth prospects and convert them into our customers by assisting them with getting acquainted with the benefits of the product and removing all the hurdles during the onboarding process.
  • Providing timely feedback to senior management regarding local and national sales performance 
  • Maintaining high team morale. Motivating the team to give their best 

This job might be for you if you have: 

  • Strong experience in educational sales, educational technology, etc.
  • A degree in business/marketing (preferred) or 10 years of sales experience in a highly competitive market 
  • Familiarity with working in the Education field and school districts is a plus 
  • Proven sales track record and experience in high-volume customer interaction 
  • Ability to compile and analyze search data and metrics and make decisions regarding campaign direction 
  • Strong experience in the sales process and be familiar with using CRM and lead generation tools 
  • Experience in up-selling, cross-selling techniques 
  • Strong experience in US Market preferred 
  • Ability to ramp up quickly on new technologies; Self-directed and operates with urgency, focus, and discipline 
  • Hard negotiation and convincing skills 
  • Strategic thinking and thought leadership, and leading initiatives through implementation 
  • Good knowledge of English (written and oral) and good communication skills with good interpersonal skills
